Kemira has initiated change negotiations covering all of its employees in Finland outside the manufacturing organization, as part of a broader profitability improvement plan targeting annual savings of approximately Euro 15 million. The planned measures could result in a reduction of up to 150 roles across the company's global workforce, including a maximum of 30 positions in Finland, according to Kemira.
Kemira currently employs approximately 4,900 people globally, of whom around 800 are based in Finland. The company stated that other potential impacts may include changes to employment terms or job roles, and that it intends to minimize reductions through retirements and other voluntary arrangements. Consultation processes will also begin in other relevant countries outside Finland.
Kemira is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries.
