Dec 14, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Privately held Koch Industries Inc.'s forest-products unit extended until December 19 its tender offer to acquire Georgia Pacific Corp. The deal was given U.S. antitrust approval; it still requires approval from the European Union competition authority. Koch also said about 9.25 million shares were tendered as of December 9. Georgia Pacific had 264.5 million shares outstanding at the end of the third quarter.
