Koro Viet Nam Tissue Paper Joint Stock Company has awarded an order for two new tissue production lines at its mill in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, marking the company’s entry into the tissue market with a combined daily design capacity of 208.4 metric tons, according to the technology supplier Andritz.

The new lines, designated TM5 and TM6, will feature PrimeLineCOMPACT M 1600 tissue machines with a paper width of 3,650 mm and a maximum operating speed of 1,650 m/min. Each line has a daily design capacity of 104.2 t/d and will process pre-dried virgin pulp to produce tissue products within a basis weight range of 11.5–32.0 g/m².

Andritz’s supply includes complete stock preparation with a PrimeRefine HC T high consistency refining system, approach flow, fiber recovery, and broke systems, along with full automation.

The lines are designed to produce premium toilet, napkin, handkerchief, and facial tissue grades. The project marks the company’s diversification into tissue production at its existing mill site in Thanh Hoa Province.

Start-up of both tissue lines is planned for the first half of 2027. The order continues nearly two decades of cooperation between Koro Viet Nam and Andritz, which most recently supplied a 500 t/d OCC/PMA line for the company’s PM2 packaging paper line in July 2025. The value of the order was not disclosed.
