Kronospan has finalized its acquisition of the Sebeș sawmill from ZG Timber, securing employment for more than 500 people at the facility. The integration of the sawmill adds a new sawn timber product line to Kronospan's existing portfolio of particleboard, MDF and OSB manufactured at its Romanian sites. The completion was confirmed by Kronospan following the receipt of all regulatory approvals.

The company stated the move reinforces its long-term commitment to its operations in Romania. Kronospan has invested over Euro 600 million in the country since 1998, operating production plants in Sebeș and Brașov. The acquisition ensures the continuity of the sawmill's operations and sustains its network of suppliers and logistics partners.
