LP Building Solutions reported operating results for the Q4 ended December 31, 2025, with a net loss of $8 million compared to net income in the same period last year, driven by declining OSB prices and volumes, according to Louisiana-Pacific Corporation.

Net sales for the Q4 2025 decreased by 17% to $567 million from $681 million a year earlier. The decline was primarily due to a $132 million decrease in OSB net sales, which fell to $136 million on lower prices and volumes.

The Siding segment performed counter to the overall trend, with revenue increasing by 6% to $384 million. This growth was driven by an 8% increase in sales prices, which offset a 2% reduction in sales volumes.

Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter decreased by $74 million compared to the prior year, mainly resulting from an $84 million impact of declining OSB prices and an $11 million reduction from lower OSB sales volumes. These headwinds were partially offset by a $20 million improvement from higher Siding sales volumes and improved sales mix.

Full Year 2025 Results

For the full year 2025, net sales decreased by 8% to $2.7 billion from $2.9 billion in 2024. Siding revenue increased by 8% to $1.7 billion, driven by 4% higher sales volumes and a 4% increase in prices. OSB revenue fell by 30% to $832 million, primarily due to lower prices and sales volumes.

Full-year net income was $146 million, or $2.08 per diluted share, compared to $421 million in the prior year. The decrease in Adjusted EBITDA for the year was driven by a $292 million adverse effect from lower OSB prices and reduced sales volumes, partially offset by $91 million from higher Siding sales volumes and improved sales mix. Other factors affecting Adjusted EBITDA included increases in marketing investments, SG&A expenses, mill overhead, inventory absorption, and tariff costs.
