Lansing Building Products acquires Harvey

Harris Williams, a global investment bank specializing in M&A advisory services, announces that it is advising Lansing Building Products (Lansing) on its pending acquisition of the distribution business of Harvey Building Products (Harvey Distribution). Lansing is a leading supplier of exterior building products across the U.S.

Through Lansing’s acquisition of Harvey Distribution, the company adds 36 branches in the Northeast to bring its combined footprint to 113 U.S. locations. In connection with the Harvey Distribution acquisition, Lansing will enter into a new partnership with Markel Ventures, a transaction on which Harris Williams is also advising. Both transactions are being led by Mike Hogan, Tim Webb, Graham Rives and Shinik Patel of the Harris Williams Industrials Group.

Since 1955, the Lansing family and its dedicated team of associates have supplied high-quality exterior building products and exceptional service to professional contractors across the United States. With the acquisition of Harvey Distribution, Lansing will operate a network of 113 branches in 35 states. The company is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.

The distribution business to be acquired in this transaction has approximately 600 employees and operates 36 warehouse locations.

Harvey Building Products is a vertically-integrated manufacturer and distributor of high quality windows and doors in addition to other exterior building products.
