Feb 12, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Lecours Lumber, in Calstock, Ontario, is closing indefinitely on February 20. 150 people will be out of work, including shift workers, forestry operations and administrative personnel, Forest Talk reported. “The shutdown could last weeks, or it could last months,” said the general manager of the Lecours facility. “It will be for as long as it takes for the market conditions to improve. This is the first time in the 20-years I’ve been general manager that we’ve had to shut down because of the poor market.”
