The Condat paper mill will file for protection with the Commercial Court in Bordeaux on October 22, 2025, as part of a legal procedure aimed at identifying new buyers while maintaining production and safeguarding employment. The move allows the company to freeze its debts, primarily owed within the Group, and work with the Court on solutions to ensure operational continuity, according to Lecta.

Since 2019, Lecta has made substantial investments in the Condat site, including the installation of a state-of-the-art glassine paper production line and a biomass boiler. Despite these improvements, Condat’s financial position has been weakened by multiple market crises, prompting the need for judicial protection.

Production at the mill will continue uninterrupted during the proceedings as the company explores recovery options under court supervision.
