Jan 20, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Lithuanian Competition Council permitted Kronospan Holdings to buy 87% in Latvian Bolderaja, according to Council statement.
Kronospan Group is acquiring stake in Bolderaja from Lithuanian Baltijos Baldu Grupe which owns three furniture plants in Lithuania.
Kronospan Group owns Kronolitas enterprise in Lithuania specializing in particleboard lamination and manufacturing-trading enterprise Kronospan Trading. Kronolitas sales amounts to LTL 30 million.
In January-September 2005 Bolderaja increased turnover to LVL 10.963 million, up 17% from corresponding period 2004.
Bolderaja joint-stock company was established in 1993. It is one of the largest woodworking enterprises in Baltic States. The company produces particleboard, furniture components, window-sills and table-boards. Company's turnover amounted to LVL 13.138 million in 2004 and second-best among enterprises of Latvijas koks Association. Its Prifit totalled LVL 1.09 million.
