Lunawood celebrated a historic milestone: the grand opening of its new production facility in Cleveland, Georgia. The ribbon-cutting ceremony gathered customers, local officials, and key stakeholders, marking the official start of thermal modification of locally sourced hardwoods in North America.

The Cleveland facility represents Lunawood’s expansion into the U.S. market and the launch of the comprehensive North America Collection. With a focus on White Ash and Yellow Poplar, Lunawood brings its decades of thermal modification expertise to the United States. The North America Collection reflects Lunawood’s guiding principle: Locally Crafted Wood with Nordic Design. These premium hardwoods are ideal for façades, decking, and interiors, providing architects and builders with a sustainable alternative to tropical hardwoods, chemically treated timber, and non-renewable building materials.

“We are proud to bring our know-how to the United States and to begin working with locally sourced hardwoods,” said Arto Halonen, Chairman of the Board, Lunawood LLC, during the event. “This facility strengthens our commitment to sustainable building solutions while responding to the growing demand for environmentally responsible materials.”
