The production operations of Lunawood’s Hammaslahti unit in Finland have been at a standstill since the end of 2018. Restarting the production would require siqnificant investments and Lunawood has decided to permanently discontinue thermowood production in Hammaslahti. Lunawood’s production capacity is 160,000 m3 after the closure of the Hammaslahti production unit.

Lunawood’s production is centralized at the Iisalmi and Kaskinen mills, which have also been developed on a long-term basis through investments in recent years.

“Our growth continues to be strong and we will further strengthen both the Iisalmi and Kaskinen mills. In line with our strategy, both mills will support company’s growth in the coming years. We are actively looking for a new owner for the Hammaslahti factory area and equipment”, says Matti Lehmuskorpi, VP Operations.
