Madison’s Lumber Prices Index remained steady at $434 per thousand board feet for the week ending December 12, unchanged from the previous week’s level of $435.

Compared to one month earlier, the index has declined by $15, representing a 3% decrease from the $449 recorded in mid-November.
The index is based on weighted averages of Western and Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir, reflecting North American production volume ratios in recent years.
