The Madison's Lumber Prices Index declined 1% to $491 per thousand board feet for the week ending 6 March 2026, according to the latest report. The benchmark measure slipped $4 from the previous week's reading of $495.
The index also registered a $5 decrease from one month ago when it stood at $496. Madison's Lumber Prices Index tracks Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir and Hem-Fir species, with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios.
