The Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending 17 April 2026 stands at $523 per thousand board feet, unchanged from the previous week. The flat reading follows a 2% increase, or $10, from one month ago when the index registered $513, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.
The index is constructed using the same species as futures contracts, including Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir and Hem-Fir. Weighted averages are calculated based on North American production volume ratios from recent years.
