Oct 21, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Metso will supply an EVO 50 Defibrator system for MDF production to Guilin Timber in Guilin city, Yunnan province, China. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2011. The value of the order will not be disclosed, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. Metso’s delivery will include a complete fiber preparation system with a capacity of 17 tonnes per hour bone dry fiber, and automation equipment. The new system will strengthen Guilin Timber’s capabilities to provide high quality board for the growing Asian market. Guilin Timber is a privately owned company founded in 2000 and it mainly produces solid timber doors, door frames, plywood and MDF (medium density fiber board). Metso is a global supplier of sustainable technology and services for mining, construction, power generation, automation, recycling and the pulp and paper industries.
