Nov 17, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Mika Joukio, SVP, Head of Consumer Packaging and Deputy to the CEO, has been appointed as the CEO of Metsä Tissue Corporation. He will start in the new position in February 2012, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Both M-real and Metsä Tissue are part of Metsäliitto Group. Mika Joukio will report to Kari Jordan, President and CEO of Metsäliitto Group and Chairman of the Metsä Tissue Board of Directors. Hannu Kottonen, CEO of Metsä Tissue since 2006 and a member of the Metsäliitto Group Executive Management Team, has been appointed as CEO of HKScan Corporation, one of the leading food companies in Northern Europe. Kottonen will start in his new position by the end of February 2012. Metsä Tissue is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of tissue paper products to households and professional users in Europe.
