President & CEO Johanna Buchert has appointed new directors for the period 1 January 2021–31 December 2025. Three directors were selected from outside the organization and two within Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).
Jani Lehto from VTT was appointed Vice President, Bioeconomy and environment.
Sirpa Thessler from Luke was appointed Vice President, Natural resources.
Sanna Sorvari Sundet from Finnish Meteorological Institute was appointed Vice President, Research infrastructure services.
Mari Ylä-Jarkko from Statistics Finland was appointed Director of Statistics.
Ilkka P. Laurila from Luke was appointed SVP Administrative Affairs and stakeholder relations.
The new appointed directors will report directly to the President and be part of Luke’s management team.
