Niklas Berntsson has officially taken up his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of OptiGroup, effective 9 January 2026. He succeeds Christoph Sander, who served as interim CEO since March 2025 and will now return to his position on the company’s Board of Directors, according to OptiGroup.
Berntsson brings leadership experience from his previous role as President and CEO of Plasman Group, a position he held since October 2018. His career also includes senior roles at Kongsberg Automotive, Assa Abloy, and Volvo Cars.
OptiGroup is distribution group with net sales of approximately 1.4 billion Euro and over 2,300 employees.
