PT Suparma Tbk will install a new IntelliTissue 1600 machine at its Surabaya mill in Indonesia, targeting a 2026 start-up to strengthen its tissue output for the Asia Pacific region. Valmet, the supplier of the new equipment, previously delivered a similar machine to the same site in 2022.
The delivery will feature an IntelliTissue 1600 machine equipped with an IntelliJet V headbox, Crescent Former, IntelliPress, IntelliYankee dryer, Exhaust Cap hood, and IntelliReel section. The scope also includes complete stock preparation equipment, mechanical and electrical drives, and Valmet’s DNA automation platform, which integrates a Machine Control System, Distributed Control System, and Quality Control System. Additionally, the package includes a dust removal system and auxiliary systems to support full line functionality.
PT Suparma Tbk, established in 1976 in Surabaya, manufactures a broad range of paper and tissue products using recovered fibers and serves both domestic and international markets. The company emphasized that Valmet’s technical understanding and prior collaboration played a key role in their selection for this milestone investment, according to Valmet.
