Paramount Cards to sell Lawson Falle Christian card unit to Dicksons Gifts

Paramount Cards Holding Corporation announced the sale of Lawson Falle Publishing, its Christian greeting card unit, to Dicksons Gifts, a leader in Christian and inspirational gifts, and a long-term strategic alliance to create and manufacture greeting cards for Dicksons, effective year end for undisclosed terms. Paramount Cards said the development allows it to better focus on its core businesses in the growing value and other sectors of the greeting card business. Hamilton Davison, president of Paramount Cards, said, "Lawson Falle has enormous growth potential when combined with Dicksons Gifts, which can help leverage its great brands, including Voices of Faith(TM), Inherit the Mirth(TM) and others. Previously, we made serious acquisition runs to build critical mass, then shifted to a selling mode. In Dicksons, we found a first class company with a strong tradition serving the Christian market. We are delighted with our new partnership with Dicksons."
