Jan 31, 2008. /Lesprom Network/. Pfleiderer AG, a leading manufacturer of engineered wood products, announced a significant expansion of its North American laminate flooring business. The company unveiled plans to roll out the new Pergo Prestige™ collection at all The Home Depot retail locations in the U.S. in the 2Q 2008.
The successful product rollout is expected to increase Pergo sales within The Home Depot channel significantly.
Pergo Prestige™ is a premium product line that features Pergo’s industry’s leading embossed laminate technology and texturing. The collection will be available in a variety of ultra-realistic decors and formats and will feature premium attached underlayment for noise reduction and comfort. In addition to the new Pergo Prestige™ bay at The Home Depot locations, Pergo will continue to stock its Pergo Presto™ product line – as well as various private label products.
The Pfleiderer Group started in fall 2007 a comprehensive new marketing program in North America in support of the Pergo brand which is targeting consumers and retail partners. The marketing campaign in combination with new designs and innovations continues to generate high interest in the Pergo Brand among consumers and key trade channels.
“We are increasing channel sales and market share in North America, despite difficult market conditions”, commented Hans H. Overdiek, CEO of Pfleiderer AG, on the laminate flooring business. “Orders of retail partners in North America are $ 50 million higher compared to the same period last year”, stated the Pfleiderer CEO on the current order intake year to date.
