Pfleiderer appointed Dr. Hans-Kurt von Werder as CTO

In connection with the discontinuation of the Executive Board area of responsibility of Technology & Plants/ Operations at Pfleiderer AG, Dr. Hans-Kurt von Werder is to take charge with immediate effect of the new headquarters department of Group Technology as Pfleiderer’s CTO (Chief Technical Officer), the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. In this new position, he will be responsible for the headquarters functions of Operations Control, Technical Inhouse Consulting and Environmental/Safety Management. In addition, he will be the headquarters coordinator for the engineers and plant managers of the Pfleiderer Group. Dr. von Werder, previously a member of the management of Business Center (BC) Western Europe with responsibility for production and technology, will now report directly to Hans H. Overdiek, Chairman of the Executive Board (CEO) of Pfleiderer AG. His previous duties at BC Western Europe will now be assumed by the business center’s managing director, Michael Wolff, and its commercial director, Jürgen Cappell. Dr. Hans-Kurt von Werder joined the Pfleiderer Group in October 2005 as the technical director of BC Western Europe. From 2006 until 2008, he was then in charge of Business Unit (BU) Pfleiderer Industrie as well as of the research and development department of BC Western Europe. As of 2007, he was also responsible for BU wodego, until he took over the position of COO at BC Western Europe.
