OrganoClick's subsidiary OrganoWood has entered into a sales and distribution agreement with the Italian tree distributor Pircher Oberland Spa, OrganoClick announced. The agreement covers a non-exclusive right for Pircher to sell and distribute OrganoWood timber in Italy.

Pircher is an Italian distributor of wood and wood-based products. It is located in the South Tyrol of northern Italy with sales and distribution of timber to leading builders and do-it-yourself chains throughout Italy.

“Pircher looks forward to launching sales and distribution of OrganoWood timber in the Italian market. We believe OrganoWood timber can be an attractive alternative for many consumers and professional construction companies," comments Matthias Mair, CEO, Pircher Oberland.

Since 2012, OrganoWood timber has been manufactured and marketed in Sweden. OrganoWood  timber is based on a silica impregnation that improves the wood's protection against rot and fire without the use of biocides and toxic heavy metals. In the Nordic region, the timber is sold to both consumers and professional construction companies via a wide network of hardware stores. Today, OrganoWood has a distribution agreement for its modified timber in a number of European countries and now also in Italy.

"We look forward to launching our expansion into the Italian market through collaboration with such a well-established distributor as Pircher. This is another step in OrganoWood's international expansion to continental Europe," says Jens Hamlin, CEO of OrganoWood AB.
