Proteak has received approval for a MXP 200.4 million ($13.4 million) credit line from Financiera Nacional de Desarrollo Agropecuario, Rural, Forestal y Pesquero. These funds will be used for the planting and maintenance of up to 6,000 hectares of Eucalyptus plantations in the Southeast region of Mexico, to supply Proteak’s MDF plant currently under construction in Huimanguillo, Tabasco.

Proteak receives a MXP 200.4 million ($13.4 million) loan

Mar 25, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Proteak has received approval for a MXP 200.4 million ($13.4 million) credit line from Financiera Nacional de Desarrollo Agropecuario, Rural, Forestal y Pesquero, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

These funds will be used for the planting and maintenance of up to 6,000 hectares of Eucalyptus plantations in the Southeast region of Mexico, to supply Proteak’s MDF plant currently under construction in Huimanguillo, Tabasco.

“These resources will allow for us to continue developing our expansion plans in the industrial wood sector”, stated Omar Nacif, Managing Director in charge of Wood Panels.

Proteak is the largest forest-industrial company in Mexico and Central America.
