Proteak’s MDF plant will start up in the second half of this year

May 15, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Proteak announced that its industrial MDF board and forest project continues to move forward in a timely manner.

The MDF plant’s main building in Huimanguillo is 95% completed and the turnkey supplier Dieffenbacher has already begun installing equipment. Projected to be operational in the second half of this year, the $200 million investment will have capacity to produce 280.000 cubic metres of MDF per year.

Proteak is the largest forest-industrial company in Mexico and Central America. With 18,000 hectares of plantations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, it exports products to over 15 destinations in America, Europe and Asia. Proteak develops currently Mexico’s largest forestry industrial project.
