May 23, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Rengo Co., Ltd. acquired 51% of the shares issued by Sanyo Jidosha Unso Co., Ltd. from Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd. As a result of the acquisition, Sanyo Jidosha Unso is now a subsidiary of Rengo, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Sanyo Jidosha Unso is a transportation company that focuses on the special mixed-load transportation business and possesses logistics expertise that differs from Rengo Group’s existing logistics businesses. Rengo manufactures corrugated board, corrugated boxes, folding cartons and other paper products. Rengo directly operates 36 manufacturing plants throughout Japan. The company also has 23 joint venture plants and 3 mills in the six countries of China, Thailand, Singapore, The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
