Rengo has acquired a 25% stake in Rengo Packaging Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (RPM), a corrugated subsidiary located in Shah Alam near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. Through this acquisition, RPM has been made a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rengo, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The corrugated packaging business in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, is an important strategic focus for the overseas operations of the Rengo Group as a “General Packaging Industry” (GPI).
