Robert Mann Packaging acquires Cypress Packaging & Supply

RMP (Robert Mann Packaging, Salinas CA) has acquired Cypress Packaging & Supply, of Castroville, CA, a leading supplier of corrugated packaging and allied items to the California central coast area, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. RMP has acquired the current inventory of Cypress Packaging & Supply's Castroville warehouse, and will begin manufacturing corrugated containers for existing Cypress customers, providing faster turnaround and high quality products. RMP is committed to providing a smooth transition for all of Cypress' existing customers, and is retaining Cypress' staff of experienced account representatives who will continue to serve their existing accounts, providing them with the same high quality service and attention to detail that they are used to receiving. RMP President Steve Carroll wrote in an email to RMP employees "Cypress Packaging is a respected supplier to the same industries we serve- floral nursery, produce, seafood & industrial in the Central Coast area." "They have a great reputation and have been a long term strong competitor known for excellent sales and service". The RMP Salinas box plant will service the former Cypress customers. " The customer base that Cypress serves along the California Central Coast fits our Salinas box plant and current shipping lanes perfectly." said Carroll. RMP has retained the Cypress sales staff to continue serving the former Cypress customers and provide a seamless transition. "To sell floral nursery packaging you have to work closely with the grower/shippers and have knowledge of how their products need to ship and perform.
