Rondo Ganahl AG is selling its corrugated board plant in Istanbul, Turkey. The new owner of the production facility is a local packaging manufacturer.
The corrugated board plant of MKB Oluklu Mukavva Kutu ve Ambalaj in Istanbul was acquired by Rondo Ganahl AG in February 2013 and has so far made a positive contribution to the group's success. However, the site's capacity is almost fully utilized, and relocating the plant in line with the company's strategy would require significant investment.
Due to the strained economic situation in Turkey and the country's excessive inflation, as well as the massive demands of the trade union, the Austrian packaging specialist has decided to sell the plant and withdraw from the Turkish market.
Rondo Ganahl AG, headquartered in Frastanz, Austria, specializes in the production of customized outer packaging made of corrugated board and customized inner packaging made of cast fiber, the manufacture of corrugated base paper, and raw material recycling.
