Rondo has expanded capacity in its Czech factory. A new die-cutting machine and a gluing line have been added to the ultra-modern machinery. This means that in future it will be possible to produce up to 700 million folding boxes and partition blanks annually at the Ejpovice plant in Czech Republic.

Rondo installs new die-cutting machine and gluing line at its Ejpovice plant in Czech Republic

Rondo AG of Allschwil in Switzerland has expanded the capacity of its factory in Ejpovice, in the Czech Republic. In October, the company, which specialises in the development and manufacture of folding boxes for the pharmaceutical industry, commissioned a Bobst VisionCut CUT 106 LER die-cutter with an in-line separator. The expansion of the factory in the Czech Republic continues apace.

The company has deliberately opted for an automatic die-cutting machine with a separator, in order to be able to handle even larger orders involving more than 20,000 sheets.

In addition to the new automatic die-cutter, which will operate in three-shift mode, the investment also included another gluing line. This machine is intended to avoid bottlenecks in production and can process larger blanks, up to 110 cm in width. Also, the constantly rising demand for crash lock folding boxes can be covered by the equipment. The workforce is also continuously increasing along with the machinery. For example, ten new employees will be joining the team in the next few weeks.
