Roseburg Forest Products is realigning production at two Oregon mills, consolidating its specialty plywood operations and expanding veneer output to support engineered wood products. The strategic shift will result in the reduction of approximately 146 positions at the Riddle Plywood facility, effective 4 February 2026, according to Roseburg Forest Products.

Impacted employees will receive 60 days of compensation, continued healthcare, and support to apply for open roles at other company facilities.

The company has expanded veneer production at its Riddle facility to better supply its nearby engineered wood plant manufacturing LVL and I-joists. Simultaneously, the Coquille Plywood facility has been enhanced to become Roseburg's primary site for specialty plywood, consolidating production previously split between the two locations.

This realignment follows hundreds of millions of dollars in investments since 2023 to modernize Roseburg's Western operations.

Roseburg Forest Products is a leading producer of wood products and one of the largest private forest owners in the United States.
