Ronald C. Parker, a longtime director of Roseburg, former Roseburg Chief Financial Officer and former CEO of Hampton Lumber, has been elected Chair of Roseburg’s Board of Directors.
Parker replaces Allyn Ford, who led Roseburg’s transformation over the past 30 years from a regional forest products company into a national provider of high-quality, sustainable wood products throughout North America. Ford will continue as an active member of the Board.
Parker is the first non-Ford family member to serve as the Board’s chair in the company’s nearly 90-year history. The transition, effective October 1, 2024, will further the family ownership’s goal of ensuring long-term leadership and governance in the next phase of company growth.
Parker joined Roseburg’s Board in 2005 after serving as the company’s CFO from 1986 to 1995. He retired as vice chairman of Hampton Affiliates and previously served as president, CEO and a director of its privately owned, vertically integrated lumber company.
Parker currently serves as the Chairman of the investment committee for the Ford Family Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the Pacific Northwest with current assets exceeding $1.1 billion. He has also been a Trustee of the Board of PIMCO Open End Funds in Newport Beach, CA, since 2009.
In addition to Parker and Allyn Ford, current Roseburg Directors include Eric Ford, Anurag Gupta, Lynn Wilson, and Jim James.
Founded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately-owned company and one of North America’s leading producers of medium density fiberboard, softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL and I-joists.
