Russia's trade and industry ministry is considering to impose 80% duty on logs exports since 2024 and to abandon export quotas, Denis Manturov, head of the ministry said on Wednesday.
"In the future, from 2024, we intend to completely abandon the quotas, raising the single duty to the prohibitive level of 80%," — he said. Since 2021 the existing quota for logs exports of 4 million m3 will be reduced twice.
