Russian Babayevsky Reported Timber Exports up 4% in 2004

Russian Babayevsky timber mill (owned by Cherepovetsles) reported timber production on the previous level in January 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003 at 33 thousand cub m, company’s public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Cross-cutting remained on the previous level ate 31,2 thousand cub m, round timber production increased 5% to 23,7 thousand cub m (+2% above plan), commercial production sales increased 14% to RUR 21,8 million (8% below plan). Belozersky timber mill increased assortment timber production 23% to 9,5 thousand cub m (24% below plan) compared with the prior period in 2003.
