In accordance with a decision by Russian Trade and Industry Chamber dated December, 23 2003 Russian Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (Bumprom) was granted the chamber membership. Bumprom entered Trade and Industry Chamber due to the necessity to coordinate pulp and paper industry operators’ interests with other industry sectors in order to reach the main prospect of Russian economy - the development of processing industry, as well as preparing Russia to enter WTO, Bumprom chairman of the board Vladimir Chuiko said. ‘We hope our cooperation with Trade and Industry Chamber in terms of corporate law and customs tariff regulation, environmental policy and self-regulating organizations bill elaboration will be fruitful, Vladimir Chuiko said.
