Russian Cherepovetsles to dispatch 550 thousand cub m of round timber by water by November 2004

Russian Cherepovetsles intends to dispatch 550 thousand cub m of round timber by water by November 2004, corporate public-affairs told Lesprom.ru right after the meeting dedicated to the navigation preparation. Navigation is due to start on April,29. Cherepovetsles main customers are Scandinavian companies: Sodra, UPM, Nivida, Thomesto. An annual meeting of all Cherepovetsles-owned enterprises managers is celebrated in April. During the meeting the working conditions in the forthcoming period are discussed with a particular attention paid to the changes in the documentation rules. Cherepovetsles CEO Valeri Pisarev inaugurating the meeting stressed: ‘Proper documentation management is an essential issue. An error may result in a ship’s idle time, which causes financial losses. We have a well-functioning system and we had almost no failures last year. We hope this year will also be a successful one’.
