Russian Kotlassky Modernizes Machinery

Jan 14, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Kotlassky pulp and paper mill (owned by Ilim Pulp Enterprise) purchased timber loaders from German Sennebogen. The following contract to supply machinery worth EUR 360 thousand was signed in September, 2003. Sennebogen experts shall provide staff training to operate timber-loaders under the terms of contract, Ilim Pulp Enterprise public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Sennebergen timber-loaders are equipped with a modern computer operation system, and are meant for timber timber storage and reloading in the storehouse. The storage can house up to 200 thousand cub m of round timber. Timber-piling was performed by 3 cable cranes until now installed in the 60-s and requiring continuous repairs to keep them functioning. The new machinery will allow to remove antiquated equipment and machinery and reduce expense on their maintenance. Further modernization plan considers the organization of 2 new loading sites and the purchase of a new timber loader. The modernization program is to be fulfilled within 3 years. All antiquated equipment and machinery will be replaced by modern units.
