Söderhamn Eriksson to upgrade Catech edger optimizer for Ligna KG S.a.s in Italy

Oct 17, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. The sawmill Ligna KG S.a.s in Italy has ordered Söderhamn Eriksson to upgrade its 20 year old Catech edger optimizer. The order comprises a new scanner in the longitudinal transport section, a new optimizing system including OptiScan 6000 and new sequence control, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. In addition to the advantages of more elaborate scanning, the customer will get a modern operator interface that is easier to handle. Edging options will include skewing to increase yield. Start-up will take place in February 2012.
