Klas Nilsson will assume the role of senior vice president for sustainability and communications at SCA starting in autumn 2026, becoming a member of the company's management team. Nilsson brings experience in strategic communication, sustainability, and public affairs from his most recent position as director of group communication at Boliden, a role he held since 2016.
Prior to his tenure at Boliden, Klas Nilsson served as head of communications at Swedavia and worked as a consultant in communication and public affairs. He holds a degree in political science with a specialization in environmental issues from Umeå University.
Nilsson will replace Anders Edholm, who is leaving SCA on July 31, 2026, to take up a position at another company.
The core of SCA's business is the forest, Europe's largest private forest holding. SCA was founded in 1929 and has its headquarters in Sundsvall, Sweden.
