Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc. (SWM) has purchased machinery to expand its capacity in filigreed cigarette papers for the Roll Your Own (RYO) and cigarette manufacturing sectors in its Saint Girons, France location.
The machinery allows for distinctive markings to be embossed on papers, offering cigarette manufacturers innovative design options for their products. This additional manufacturing capacity, which is expected to be available in 3Q 2017, will add to SWM's leading position in this important and growing segment of the industry.
This investment will further add to SWM's capabilities and commitment as a full-line supplier to the tobacco industry, with special focus on the RYO category.
