Segezha Group (part of Sistema JSFC) formed the new business unit – Wooden housebuilding, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The core mission of the new Segezha Group’s business unit is to enhance construction expertise, including turnkey house production, engineer CLT technology inception (cross-laminated timber), expand dealer network and enter new market channels for prefab houses.
Kamil Zakirov, CEO of Segezha Group, said: “We start a completely new project in Sokol, Vologda Region, and if everything goes with a run, then next year we will embark on the new CLT plant construction. Currently, in Russia there are no relevant technology solutions for CLT production and no CLT plants, such houses are not produced here”.
Segezha Group is one of the largest Russian forest industry holdings with the vertically integrated structure and a full cycle of logging and added-value wood processing.
