Setra Plusshus orders worth SEK 100 million ($13.4 million)

Nov 25, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. During the autumn, Setra Plusshus received new orders for terraced housing developments in Greater Stockholm. The new agreements signed this autumn relate to three groups of terraced housing in Bagarmossen, Vendelsö and Vällingby. Of the total order value of SEK 100 million ($13.4 million), over one-third is already called off for production, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

“We note that our customers, who are primarily found in metropolitan areas such as Stockholm and Oslo, understand that industrial-scale and climate-smart wood construction can make a resource-efficient contribution to housing development in our growth regions,” says Hannele Arvonen, President and CEO of Setra.

“The increased demand for housing requires even shorter lead times from concept to occupation. Our standardised building systems and processes make us a flexible cooperation partner able to delivery unique homes with high demands on both quality and design,” says Krister Norberg, Head of Operations at Setra Plusshus.

Plusshus is Setra’s building system for prefabricated housing units made of wood. Manufacturing takes place in two modular building factories in Kristinehamn and Renholmen, just north of Skellefteå.

Wood products company Setra includes a total of nine sawmills, three processing units and two modular building factories.
