Wood products company Setra is reporting operating profit of SEK 1,588 million ($171 million) for 2021. Net sales totalled SEK 5,841 million ($628 million), compared to SEK4,131 million ($444 million). The company generated operating profit of SEK 369 million ($40 million) for the 4Q, with net sales of SEK 1,563 million ($168 million).

“At the start of Q4, the wood products market was very hesitant and prices saw a significant downturn. However, they stabilised at a relatively high level and contract activity finished strongly ahead of 1Q 2022,” says Katarina Levin, Setra’s CEO.

Cash flow from operating activities amounted to SEK 479 million ($51.5 million) in the 4Q 2021. Net cash totalled SEK 1,643 million ($177 million) at the end of the period.

Setra is one of Sweden’s largest wood industry companies. Setra processes raw material from responsibly managed forests into climate-friendly products such as glulam, planed products, components, CLT and sawn wood products.
