Silvestica Green Forest Sverige AB has entered an agreement with Stora Enso Skog to acquire 5,200 hectares of forest land the 27th of January. 1,400 hectares of minor properties will be sold to local buyers. Silvestica will keep the bigger properties 3,800 hectares.

A forest management agreement will be established with Skogsutveckling Syd AB (SUSAB) in order to together with CRK Forest Management AB develop the forest holdings for maximal value growth.

The new forest properties will be included in the FSC and PEFC group certification of ProSilva.

“We are pleased that in a short time we have now been able to carry out another larg acquisition in Sweden. The forest land acquired from Stora Enso is well-rounded and well stocked with high grades, which generates high continuous growth. Through the resale to nearby forest owners, we also strengthen local forestry,” says Karl Danielsson, spokesman for Silvestica Green Forest.

Silvestica Green Forest AB is a long-term forest fund for institutional investors founded by SEB, the Hesselman Foundation and CRK, in the spring of 2017. Silvestica invests in the asset class forest by acquiring forest properties in Sweden, Finland and in the Baltics.
