Skanska rebuilds pulp mill for SCA in Timra, Sweden
Skanska has signed an agreement with SCA to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the pulp mill Östrand in Timrå, Sweden. The contract value is SEK 360 million ($42.2 million).

Jan 05, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Skanska has signed an agreement with SCA to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the pulp mill Östrand in Timrå, Sweden. The contract value is SEK 360 million ($42.2 million), as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The expansion includes new drying machine, operations center, and media paths while the rebuild and extension comprises of causticize, recovery boiler and turbine, and various ground works. The project is part of SCA's investments to double the capacity of the plant.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the 1Q 2016 and the project is expected to be completed in May 2018.
