In April 2022, Euro 5.9 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in Slovenia, which was about 34% less than a month ago (mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs decreased by almost 35%, of pulpwood by about 28%, of wood fuel by about 20% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 38%, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

Compared to April 2021, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by about 33%. The quantity of purchased wood was slightly lower, while the average prices, especially of sawlogs and veneer logs of coniferous trees, were much higher than a year ago. The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs and of other industrial roundwood were higher by about 47% and 57%, respectively, while the values of pulpwood and wood fuel were lower by about 13% and 11%, respectively.
