In May 2022, Euro 6 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in Slovenia, which was about 2% more than a month ago. The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs and of pulpwood were higher by about 2% and 12%, respectively, while the values of wood fuel and of other industrial roundwood were lower by about 18% and 28%, respectively, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

Compared to May 2021, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by about 66%. The quantity of purchased wood was slightly higher, while the average prices, especially of sawlogs and veneer logs of coniferous trees, were much higher than a year ago. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs increased by about 77%, of pulpwood by about 17%, of wood fuel by about 94% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 30%.
