Sonae Indústria appointed Rui Manuel Gonçalves Correia as CEO

Feb 25, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Sonae Indústria, SGPS, S.A. announces that Belmiro de Azevedo leaves the Executive Committee, remaining the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Rui Manuel Gonçalves Correia was appointed CEO, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. João Paulo do Santos Pinto assumes the function of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the South of Europe remaining also as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer (CMSO). Jan Kurt Bergmann assumes the function of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the North of Europe remaining also as Chief Industrial and Technology Officer (CITO). Belmiro de Azevedo while Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors will propose that George Christopher Lawrie becomes a member of the Executive Committee as CFO, taking over Rui Correia’s current responsibilities. These changes are in line with Belmiro de Azevedo personal goal of leaving executive functions just before completing 75 years of age.
