Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. will acquire Whit Davis Lumber Plus, adding three Arkansas locations - Jacksonville, Cabot, and Greenbrier - to its network. The transaction closes on June 20, with stores reopening under the Spahn & Rose banner on June 23. The Whit Davis name and leadership will remain in place, according to Spahn & Rose Lumber Co.
Whit Davis Lumber Plus, founded in 1953, has served contractors and homeowners across central Arkansas for over 70 years. President Troy Hunter will continue to lead the business, supported by local management.
The acquisition marks Spahn & Rose’s sixth major purchase in recent years. It follows previous acquisitions in Iowa, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Georgia, including Metro Building Products in Marietta (2021), Still Lumber in Conyers (2022), and City Lumber in Huntsville (2023).
With the addition of Whit Davis, Spahn & Rose now operates 28 locations across Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Alabama, further expanding its footprint in the Southeast.
