The new FSC National Forest Stewardship Standard for Spain will become effective on 15 January 2020.
The standard has been developed by a chamber-balanced standard development group using a multi-stakeholder process, including three public consultations. This new standard applies to all forest types and it includes the certification of forest management and production processes related to the forest, including production of both timber and non-timber products.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international member organization that works for environmentally adapted, socially responsible and economically viable use of the world's forests.
